... LOL!!

Okay, I have 11 minutes to type to my hearts content. The loverly hotel here is strange. I connect the LAN cable to my laptop yet I still do not have internet. I am paying 100yen for 15 minutes, lol. (5 minutes already wasted for facebook =)) Anyhow, so, Japan is one crazy country.

1. I was greeted by a warm blast of humid air the moment I stepped off the plane... Then I paid for the most expensive bus fair I've ever paid in my whole life so far, LOL. $30/person. But I guess it's sort of worth it because it took around 1h 30mins to travel from Narita Aiport to Shinjuku, Tokyo. But still, it was damn expensive.

Picture of the never ending buildings in Tokyo...

2. While driving through the city of Tokyo to our hotel, we passed by three large ferris wheels with glowing lights. You think 1 is good enough but no... there's three of them! From the looks of it.. Tokyo doesn't seem to have much of a sub-rural area where people own individual houses... But then again, we probably didn't go far enough. All I noticed while in the bus - lots, lots of buildings with flashing lights. Oh, and a lot of trees too. It's insane how many buildings are here in this city. What happened to Calgary? Calgary is like... a farm compared to Tokyo, lol. I think I'll experience culture shock when I come back, lol.

Image of a section of the city from my hotel room. Look at the insane government building to the left. It has two buildings attached by some insane bridge thingy.

Some interesting building from the distance while strolling around.

Photo of the street in front of the hotel. taken from the hotel lobby window.

3. Everything here requires money. Well, almost everything. For an example, me using this computer when I should have access to the internet. At least calling is slightly cheaper here. It's approximately $1? Around there. I cannot think of any other examples at the moment but just know that everything costs money.. a lot of it sometimes. =)

4. Okay, this one's a weird one. I woke up and got ready at around 7AM in the morning to get a shower cap for my mother at the front desk on the first floor. I was approaching the elevator when I heard what sounded like a couple having some fun time. That or it was some guy watching something fun. I just heard a girl in one of the rooms yelping in ecstasy, lol. It was really weird because another guy in a suit and I were waiting at the elevator and we obviously could hear it even though the intercom was broadcasting classical music. It was just really awkward... Now that I think about it... The "Massage" button on the room telephone is somewhat suspicious.

Oh Japan... LOL. I don't know what to think at the moment.
By the way, I am not uploading any pictures at the moment because I don't have access to my laptop. I'll just upload it later. My times is up, lol. Take care everyone. (By the way, I think I need to break out of shell and speak more here. I shouldn't care if I am right or not. AHH okay, 30 seconds.BYE)

So I figured out how to use the LAN in the hotel.  I guess it's possible to upload photos now. Hopefully my laptop doesn't die soon. The outlets in this hotel are double pronged.. Not triple, unfortunately. =( And crap... I said the first photo I'd take would be the first thing that I ate... If anyone is curious, I ate a meat bun from the convenient store for 100yen, lol. Can't wait for lunch with Yumi and Jessi! =)

  4. lol don't worry Randy said that Hokkaido is another Calgary so I don't think you'll experience culture shock after coming back.

if you are still in Tokyo and haven't gone already you should go to the top of the government building, it has such a nice view and its FREE!

"Some interesting building from the distance while strolling around" if I remember correctly that's a university =)
