紅葉

Yay, I am on time for once!

Wednesday November 10 (Japan Time)

I took a few pictures of leaves before and when I was at the University. There was a Minapa Meeting today at 12:15PM. I darted straight into the library after the meeting ended. There I met John and later, Abdy. At 6PM, John and Abdy left because they had prior engagements to tend to. =) I stayed until 6:30 then left for the bus with Dinara~ Dinara wanted to listen to some Chinese songs and guess if it was Mandarin or Cantonese... So that's what we did for the whole bus ride! Time sure passes by much faster when you're not just staring off into space in the bus, lol.

Shh, you'll soon realize I'm not the best person to take pictures of leaves. =(
Look at the bright red bush. o_o Holy smokes.
While walking towards the University

We got back home at around 7:30PM. I did not have much time today because I have two tests tomorrow. I made a quick meal, ate and packed a portion for lunch. I took a picture, lol. I went straight to the study hall and studied the rest of the night. Today was the strict guard patrolman so everyone was forced out of the study hall at 12PM sharp. =( I studied another hour and finally went to bed at around 1AM~

Vegetables and beef

Thursday November 11 (Japan Time)

Test day! Kanji test today was the best one this week, lol. This week is the exact opposite of every other week. I usually get my best mark on Monday and the worst on Thursday but it's the other way around this week~ Lol. But anyhow, I was anxious today because of the chapter test. I was worried it would turn out ugly like the first test but I have a good feeling I did better this time round. =) damn, I jynxed myself Anyhow, I did not want to study today. I translated my kanji sentences before leaving. =) That's my studying for the night~ But anyhow, I left the Uni at around 5:30PM. I decided to drop by the mall today to buy another undershirt from Uniqlo. I decided to stalked Loft and I found deodorant! :O -surprise- Adidas... That can't go wrong, right? Well, let's give it a try. =) I left the Mall at around 8PM and walked around city center. I went into a beef rice house and ordered well.. Beef and rice? Lol. After eating, I wandered some more and ended up in Oodori Park 大通公園. I took a random picture of a street light when leaves behind it~ I left the park shortly afterward to go home because I needed to cook up lunch for tomorrow. I decided to be lazy and just made yam rice. I'll pack that then buy little side dishes tomorrow. Harhar~ Anyhow, here are some more pictures.

By the way: It was raining the past two days... It rained the entire week.

5:30PM just outside of the University. Look at the yellow leaves on the ground. o_o
My best picture thus far. =)

  1. Wow, you must know a crazy amount of kanji now. It's always kanji kanji kanji. What about grammar? Is that less tested or is it just less hard? lol. Nice leaves! There's some pretty cool leaves in eastern Canada, you must visit sometime. Red maple leaves はきれいです!

  2. Oh yes, I meant to ask...how are you finding your ipod touch? Has it been useful?

By the way, if you are looking for a good tool to review your kanji. There's a program called Anki. It uses SRS (spaced-repetition) which can help you remember kanji in the long run. Of course, as in any flashcard system it will take some discipline to input the needed words and then practice them...but since you're in Japan for a year it might be worth it? I wouldn't recommend putting in every single kanji, but perhaps the more useful ones. The program lets you insert pictures and audio as well.

Anki is free on your pc, but I think the app costs like $20 on the ipod/iphone.

  4. Amy: Kanji here is definitely insane... The grammar well... We cover the grammar in class so there's not really much to study for. Everyone is given exercises to do and later, present, in class so yea... we drill the grammar down during class time.

I use my iPod touch everyday, lol. Definitely a useful item. =) Anki... I shall look into that. I sort of bought these little flash card-like thingies where if you use red ink, you can hide the red text with a transparent red film and study the kanji that's written in another color.. Not sure if that made sense, lol. I will definitely look into Anki though. =) Thank you for the suggestion!

Eva: o.o! I don't know how to do that. =( Teach moi s'il vous plait?
