Wednesday November 3 (JAPAN TIME)

A day off! I studied and cooked. =) I don't remember doing anything today because it was a National Holiday. Almost everything in Japan is closed today, lol. I pretty much studied and that was about it. =) It felt like a weekend though, lol.

Thursday November 4 (JAPAN TIME)

The day started off like every other Monday and Tuesday. =) Kanji test, test results and more grammar~ I did not get my 20/20 but I got three 19/20's. There was a meeting after class ended today. There was a short briefing followed by paperwork regarding part time jobs, lol. I applied just in case I am interested in the future. Just as my friend said, it's better to apply and not accept it later than to want to work and have no one help you with paper work. =) I filled out the form and voila, that ends class for the day~

A group of us decided to visit the 100yen shop. I bought a few goodies~ A notebook for Kanji, flash cards to practice kanji, a light snack, a lunch box (YAY!) coat hangers and I think that was it. We left the 100yen shop and Beth decided to go home ahead of time to do whatever she usually does. Gerreth, John and I decided to wander around and ended up bumping into 2 staff members who worked at the 100yen shop. They were wondering if Beth was still around because she left her wallet behind... (great, lol) Long story short, Beth did not get on the bus yet. She ran back to the shop in time to catch me before I boarded the bus to chase after her. I also realized that my Japanese is still quite inadequate. =( I was trying to communicate with the lady and I was having a bit of troubles, lol. Ah well~

Gerreth, John and I decided to eat at a cheap Chinese/Japanese restaurant and I once again, I forgot to take pictures. It was good for how much we paid. We went to another 100yen shop to buy some other goods. I bought headphones for 100yen. =) After that, we went to the bookstore. We ended up not buying anything because we spent quite a bit at the 100 yen shop. We walked back to the University because Gerreth and John lived in the dormitories. My bus stop is close to the University as well so I figured I'd might as well go with them. (Though, there was a bus stop close to where we were. Oh well. I would rather walk around than stand at a bus stop for 40 minutes) I went home, cooked up breakfast and lunch~ Packed my lunch box (YAY it was fun) And yea, went to bed. First "school" night where I did not study. Hooray!

Friday November 5 (JAPAN TIME)

We arrived at the University and thankfully I asked one of the international staff members a question, otherwise, I probably would have completely forgotten about my November scholarship installment. Phew~ But yes, academic class today was awesome. I like that class a lot actually. It's a very practical class. The grammar we learn is quite practical. I like it. =) Time flies in that class, lol. And we don't get homework! (often, lol) After class ended, Beth, Dinara and I rushed to catch the bus to Sapporo station because we were supposed to see the doctors for a mini check up. John joined us because he wanted to escape the dormitories, lol. The international housing institute people want a medical form ensuring we are perfectly healthy. We ended up going the wrong way, lol. Though, the nurses would probably tell us to come another day anyways if we arrived at the clinic because the clinic closes at 4PM and it was 3:55PM, lol. There was a faint hue of disatisfaction on Beth's face but oh well, what can I do~ What's done is done. =) We decided to look for the clinic so that we can go there early in the morning tomorrow without getting lost, lol. We found the clinic. =) Beth left afterward to do laundry. Dinara, John and I went to the bookstore where I bought another book! Harhar. This one is for Junior High students. =) the first one I bought was grade 6 science, lol!!! It's quite interesting though~ I forgot to mention: I took a few pictures along the way. =)

Nice. =)
Sapporo Station
Double nice
See the little man? :O

Dinara parted from us afterward to visit the 100 shop. John and I decided to sit down by the cafeteria and chatted for a good hour. We talked about class, back home, our Japanese background, the people in the dorms. I guess I learned a lot. =) A nice pass time!

We left at around 6:50PM because we were planning to meet Christine and people at Mr Donuts. Result: We could not find them, lol. John and I were extremely hungry so we ditched and went straight for food. We found a relatively cheap ramen shop that sold various other side dishes for a reasonable price. It turns out the tempura that John ordered was a bit soggy... (gross) The dished that I ordered was actually quite well prepared. I was thoroughly satisfied, lol. We went to a huge department store which sells random stuff for a relatively inexpensive price. I ended up buying another game, LOL. For 450yen... It turns out I need to buy a PS2 from Japan because the PS2's are region locked, meaning I cannot play my Japanese games at home... PS2 only costs around 60CAD here but I don't know... We'll see, lol.

The glass pyramid by Sapporo Station.
Sapporo Tower with Christmas decorations... Lol

We left the crazy department store and went straight back to Sapporo Station. There, we sat by the JR ticket gate waiting for time to pass. We parted ways at around 9:15PM, lol. I went home and now I am here. I will be visiting the doctors tomorrow so I think I'll go sleep soon. It's 1:15AM, lol. Night, night!

Random photo of autumn leaves. A picture taken from my room around the neighborhood on a rainy day. It's been raining a lot the past few days. It's probably snowing in Calgary, lol. I never thought it would rain in November. Japan is special, I guess, lol.

  1. You can get your playstation modded at Dragon City to play japanese ps2 games. But if ps2 only costs 60 dollars on japan...you might as well buy it? I think it costs around $20-30 to mod.

  2. Lol, are you serious? Is that even legal? LOL

  3. Lol of course it isn't legal. But it's not like you're modding it to play pirated games. Region locking things is just silly. Love how PS3 is region free for games.

  4. I wonder if I will still be able to play PS1 games if I mod it... I wonder if the mod will let me play Japanese PS1 games too, lol. Ooh, this sounds fun. >D

  6. OMG! Vicky, lmao. I completely forgot about the Hokkaido crab!!! -sigh- I guess I'll save that for the restaurant. I'd ruin the experience if I tried to cook it myself, LOL. My wok isn't big enough.. =( I wish I could study less but that's not an option, unfortunately. =( I'm being worked and reworked like a rag, lol. Ooh.. a PS2.. We shall talk about this another time... >)
